Power BI Consultant

Exp:  4 – 6 years

Location : Ahmedabad (Science City Road)

Responsibilities:

• Develop and design interactive reports, dashboards, and data visualizations using Power BI based on business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data analysts, business users, and IT professionals, to gather and understand data requirements and translate them into effective data models and visualization solutions.
• Perform data transformations, including data cleansing, merging, and shaping, to prepare data for visualization.
• Create and maintain data connections, data sets, and data models within Power BI.
• Implement best practices for data visualization, ensuring high-quality and intuitive user experiences.
• Optimize and troubleshoot Power BI reports and dashboards for performance and efficiency.
• Stay up to date with the latest Power BI features, trends, and best practices and recommend enhancements or improvements to existing reports and processes.
• Collaborate with data engineers and database administrators to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and security.
• Provide training and support to end users on how to utilize Power BI reports and dashboards effectively.
• Document technical specifications, processes, and procedures related to Power BI development and maintenance.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Power BI Developer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of interactive reports and dashboards.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power BI, including Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power BI Premium.
• Strong knowledge of data modeling, data transformation, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions).
• Experience in extracting and transforming data from various sources, such as databases, APIs, and Excel files.
• Solid understanding of SQL and relational databases.
• Familiarity with data visualization best practices and principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex business requirements into effective data visualizations.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
